Aims: Quality of life, as an important, structure has been studied from different aspects. Investigating the factors affecting this structure has always been of interest to researchers. The aim of this research was to investigate the correlation between religious beliefs and quality of life in one hand and to investigate the role of mediator of Islamic lifestyle in another.
Instruments & Method: This descriptive-correlative and applied research was carried out among all the attendees of the International Qur'anic Exhibition (26th Exhibition) in 2018. The sample consisted of 103 visitors, who were selected by random sampling. The research instruments were George Religious Beliefs Questionnaire, Kaviani Lifestyle, and World Health Organization Quality of Life. The data were analyzed by SPSS 22 and Amos 22 softwares, using Pearson correlation, linear regression, independent t-test, and path analysis methods.
Findings: All 3 major research variables were positively and significantly correlated (p<0.01). Also, religious beliefs and Islamic quality of life were able to predict quality of life and they could explain 28% and 33% of variance of quality of life variables, respectively (p=0.001). The direct relationship between religious beliefs and quality of life was significant. Also, the mediator paths were significant as the main path. Hence, it can be said that Islamic lifestyle plays a mediator role in the relationship between religious beliefs and quality of life (p=0.001).
Conclusion: The Islamic lifestyle is an important mediator in religious beliefs and quality of life.
